DIMMITT (Special) - Services for Curtis Floyd Beavers, 64, of Dimmitt, will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church here with the Rev. John Street, pastor, officiating.
Graveside rites will be at 4 p.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia under direction of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
Beavers died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday in Dimmitt Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The Montague County native moved to Hart in 1928 and had lived in the Dimmitt area since 1939. He moved to Dimmitt in 1973.
He married Nita Finck Oct. 15, 1939 in Tulia and retired from farming in 1972. Beavers was a member of Hart First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Alene Thomas of Dimmitt; a son, Johnny L., of Plainview; five brothers, Burl of Friona, Dempsey of Joplin, Mo., Ollie of Emory, Clifford of Dimmitt, and R.L. Jr., of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five sisters, Mrs. May Scheller of Olton, Mrs. Dorothy Parker of Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Rachel Coleman of Borger, Mrs. Marzelle Powell of Dimmitt, and Mrs. Fay Bussey of Littlefield; and six grandchildren.
