Dr. Derryberry was a local physician and farmer. He was also active in the local mining industry. He moved to Marion County somewhere in the 1874-1880 area. He likely died between 1900-1910. Dr. Derryberry was likely buried here, but I can't find any proof. It's widely speculated he was buried here with his wife, who preceded him in death. If anyone has any info that confirms or denies this, please contact me.

A daughter, Elizabeth, age 13, appears with him and his wife on the 1850 Federal Census along with Newton, age 11 in Decatur County, Tennessee.
In 1860 he was living in Lampasas County, Texas wife his wife, Louisa, and son, Newton C. Derryberry. By 1880, he was living in Marion County, Arkansas, age 71, with Louisa and granddaughter, Jane Sullivan. In 1900, he was widowed residing in Marion County, Arkansas, with grandson's family.
