Marriage record from Ancestry. No physical copy of the record is available, but Francis bought land in Augusta Co VA on 25 Aug 1770 and it mentioned "wife". Their first child was born in 1772, so a marriage date of 1770 is about right. When a hard copy is located, will post it.

James (1772-1840), the son of Francis and Sarah Skelton Hardgrave, married Almira Dyer. John Davis Sr, the son of James and Almira Dyer Hardgrave married Virginia Armstrong, daughter of William and Alianna Hill Armstrong. Virginia is the 3rd Gr-Grand Aunt of my Armstrong children. Her older brother, Reverend Thomas Armstrong is the 3rd Gr-Grandfather of my Armstrong children.
