Winnie Jo Balthrop, age 89, was born March 8, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. She went home on to be with our Lord and her beloved husband, Dr. Lloyd Kenneth Balthrop Sr., on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Winnie will be remembered as the beloved wife of a former Hoffmantown Baptist Church Minister, beloved mother, grandmother, friend and formal wear entrepreneur, who will be greatly missed.
Winnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Lloyd Kenneth Balthrop Sr. and she is survived by her children, Lloyd Kenneth Balthrop Jr. and wife Karen of Austin, TX, Kirby Balthrop and wife Teresa of Albuquerque, Pamela Stroud and husband William Fox of Edgewood, NM; grandchildren, Aaron Balthrop, Jason Balthrop, Justin Balthrop, Jennifer Matejcek, Joshua Balthrop, Ariel Tart and Joscelin Stroud; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.
Services will be held at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 am, with the visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Balthrop, Jason Balthrop, Justin Balthrop, Josh Balthrop, Joscelin Stroud and James Tart.
