- There is a document in Halifax Co., VA 1808 Pleas 25:143 of a John Griffin against Robert Glidewell and Nash Glidewell. Robert pleads guilty. Nash's case is dismissed. John Griffin was awarded 18 pounds. There are no details in the pleas book.
b.ca1745 Halifax Co. VA. married Elizabeth (?) b.before 1765. He and his father Nash lived on the tobacco plantation together according to tax lists of the time. He stayed in VA until shortly after his father's death in 1794, and the probate of his father's will in 1795. Robert and his family then moved to Cumberland Co.KY by 1810 BE AWARE THAT IT IS ERRONEOUSLY REPORTED in some LDS files and elsewhere THAT THIS ROBT IS THE FATHER OF BROTHERS WILLIAM AND ROBERT WHO EVENTUALLY MOVED TO INDIANA--(The brothers William and Robert who eventually went to Indiana were descended from Robert, Nash's brother-- NOT Nash b.1721)
