- I have seen his birth date as 15 Nov 1804 and 15 Dec 1878 as death-but he was not present with his wife Susan in the 1860 census and thereafter-so don't think that these dates are correct for him!
The unresolved mystery is where is James-the older in the 1830 and 1840 Census records, but also where is Josiah in 1830, 1840 and 1850?
