He was born in Morgan County, IN on Nov. 15, 1804 (Date and Place of birth both incorrect!) and died in 1878 due to a tree falling on him while cutting wood (info. from family tradition). Also it stated (in the People's Guide to Morgan County, 1874) that Robert Finchum is a farmer who lives near Eminence, IN. Again from family info. (I guess) it related that Robert weighs 340 lbs, but was an active man even though unusually large.
