- Okolona Messenger Obituary: Death of Mrs. McCullough - Mrs J
Frank McCullough, daughter of Mr W E and Mrs A A Dallas, was
born July 12, 1903. Married March 1923 to J Frank McCullough.
To this union was born three children, two boys, ages five and
two, and an infant girl, age three months. Estelle was a dear
sweet christian woman. She united with the Methodist church at
the age of thirteen years. She bore her sufferings calmly. As
the dark cloud neared, she seemed to see a silver lining. When
the Death Angel came, she was ready and waiting to go. Death
came to claim her Saturday, October 5, 1929 at 7 o'clock a.m.
Funeral services were held at her home church, Pleasant Grove,
at 11 o'clock Sunday October 6th. The soothing words were said
by her Pastor, Rev W M Young, after which the dear body was
laid to rest by a number of her kindred, a father, sister and
brother who have gone on to meet her in the land where pain
cometh no more. May God's richest blessings rest on the many
kind helpful friends. Words cannot express the gratitude that
our hearts pour out in remembrance of the sweet words of the
hymns and the beautiful flowers that covered the precious mound
as we took the farewell look. 'Come ye Blessed' said the
Saviou. Rest in peace until he calls, Then the glad redemption
welcome, 'Twas for all the Savior died. Oh! God do keep thy
guiding hand Ever near the darlings, three. Keep their tender
minds on mother, Far more precious now than ever. Give them
health and strength to conquer All afflictions that come their
way, And the other sad hearts cherish, Lord, we bring it all
today. -Her Aunt_
