Thank you for answering my message. I'm always so glad to hear from anyone related to. The only thing I had on Matilda Finchum was born 1853, died about 1880 and married a Allen.
My Grandmother's (Cora) Bible had her parents name and the names of her Grandparents. My Grandmother's Father was Allen, his GrandMother's name was Mary Anderson. In the 1850 census Mary Thomas and two children were living with James Madison, so they say Thomas is her maiden name, but in the Bible it has Mary Anderson. Alot of people have James Madison first wife as Lorena Anderson, on John Finchum, son of James Madison, on his death certificate it had Lorena Finchum as his Mother. But Lorena could be part of Mary's name and Matilda his Mother's.
