I'm not familiar with Joe Justus, but the story of their son Ruben, my great-great grandfather, has a sad ending. He was born on January 31, 1883, but died at the age of 37 in the flu epedemic (March 16, 1920). I have this grand picture of him, made professionally, taken when he was young.
