She was a native of Missouri. She married to Oscar Y. Rheim (1866-1948) on 23 April 1895 in Butte, Montana. At the time of the 1900 census, they were living at Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana. Living with them were Oscar's mother, Susan, his brother (John) Emory, and their son Edward Lawrence (31 July 1897-21 May 1965). The census indicated that they'd been married 5 years and Gertrude had borne two children, one then living. The 1910 census suggests they had at least two more sons, Everett (c. 1901) and Howard W. (c. 1908-1950). Information sent to me by Find A Grave contributor, Suzanne Andrews, # 47490425, states that, in addition to Oscar and his wife Olive Gertrude, the following are buried in this same plot: Harry Rheim (4 mo), Howard Rheim (42 yrs), Grace Rheim (8m 13 da), Richard (6 yrs) and Vernon (3yrs 6mo). I assume these children belonged to Oscar and his wife. From "The Montana Standard," Butte, Montana Tuesday, December 5, 1933 "RHEIM—The funeral of the late Mrs. Oscar Y. Rhelm will be held at 11 a. m. today at the Richards funeral chapel, the Rev. Edward Smith officiating."
