Notes |
- I found a Marriage License in Burnet Co. where Ann Clark married George R. Edwards on December 14, 1890. I find no more reference to this couple in Burnet Co.
I do know that Benjamin F. Clark, Senior, was living in Lamar Co. Texas for the 1900 census. I have always suspected that the murder took place in Lamar Co.
In looking at the marriage records of Lamar Co., I find where Anne Edwards married a man named Ben Peters in 1895.. Could this be the same Ann Clark that had married George Edwards in Burnet Co?
I did not find Ben Peters on the 1900 Soundex of Texas. Possibly they had already moved, maybe to Oklahoma. If I could find that couple for the 1900 census, they should have a child about 8 years old named ? Edwards.
