Notes |
- Listed on the 1860 Census of Williamson Co., TX as a common well digger.
He was in the Arizona Brigade, a Confederate unit. This was the same unit that Dr. Hezekiah said that he enlisted in the first time he served in the Army. They were in the Same unit. In 1863 a document of the Quartermaster of the Confederate Army states that it received $1.00 that belonged to James R. Sexton. Notes on that document further state "Register of effects of Deceased Soldiers turned over to Quartermaster, C.S.A." Additional documents state that this is "Register of Officers and Soldiers of the Army of the Confederate States who were killed in Battle, or who died of wounds or disease."
