1825 March Commonwealth v REESE ___ _____ _____ agreeable to his recognizance- & on hearing- It is ordered that he be bound to keep the peace and be of good behaviour towards all the good citizens of this commonwealth for one year hence himself in the sum of one hundred dollars and two securities, in the sum of fifty dollars each & whereupon the said Robert REESE togethr with William MINER & James REESE his securitys severally came into court and acknowledged themselves indebted to his Excellency James PLEASANTS Esquire governor or chief magistrates of this commonwealth & his successors in office the said Robert REESE in the sum of one hundred dollars & the said William MINER & James REESE his securitys in the sum of fifty dollars each of their respective goods and chattles lands & tenements to be levied and to the use of this commonwealth rendered, yet upon the condition that the said Robert REESE keep the peace and be of good behaviour towards all the good citizens of this commonwealth for one year hence & more sepecially admire J STOWE, Order Book 20 pg 5

He is listed with his mother in Will Book #22 in Bedford Co., VA with his siblings and his wife. Marriage record is from the Bedford Co., VA records.
He was supposedly known as "Col." in Moore Co., TN. His pension papers state: He served in Capt Thornton's Co in War of 1812, disabled with a loss of an eye and broken shoulder, died Jan 1st 1877.
He did not vote for succession but against it. He received his wound while practicing with his gun at the courthouse in Franklin, VA. He has resided since Jan 1 1867 in the 5th civil district of Lincoln Co.Tenn on the land of his son, William Reese and has been supported by his children since 1855.
He was a sergeant in the infantry sustained the wound the last of July 1812 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co, VA.
He was 83 yrs old in 1876.
