Our James Campbell was born about 1786-1789 and his wife born about 1803. A newspaper article from 1897 says she was born in 1796 in Virginia (His first wife, Meaky) but her census entries in 1850, 1860 and 1870 support the circa 1803 birth date, which would be that of his second wife, Martha Rees Jarrett).
