Fred L. Frady was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Rockhouse, Kentucky. He passed away at home Fri., Oct. 8, 2004. He was a husband, dad, grandad, great grandad, WWII veteran, business owner, coach, fisherman and friend. He was married to Sharon Baker Frady for 51 years. He was dad to Chip and Bret Frady, grandad and great grandad to Darwin, Nikki, Lauren, Kamron and Gabbie. Fred was assigned to the 82nd Glider Infantry as replacements for the 101st Airborne. As a paratrooper he made five jumps behind enemy lines. He owned his own oilfield equipment company until he retired to work with his sons in their barbecue restaurant and catering operations. He loved to cook and feed anyone especially his family. His passions were sports, fishing and bluegrass music. When he wasn't trying to catch the big one, he could be seen at a bluegrass festival occasionally playing along on a guitar or mandolin. He coached baseball. Many of his players continued on to become college and professional athletes. Everybody that met 'Friendly Fred' called him their friend. He's our Hero. So much thanks to the staff of Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers at Veteran's Hospital and to Compassionate Care Hospice. God Bless You. Memorial to be held at 2PM Tuesday, October 12 at Demuth Funeral Home. DEMUTH FUNERAL HOME 1145 W. Britton Rd. 843-5521
