Military service: War of 1812: US Army: 1808-1815; Battle of New Orleans under Andrew JACKSON (in 1832, Henry HART and his family went by wagon down the Wilderness Road, through the Cumberland Gap, and settled in Bedford County, TN; in late 1852, Henry, Barbara, several of their children, some married with their own families, and several other families, a total of 72 people, set out for Missouri in sixteen covered wagons drawn by oxen; the wagons were "floated" across the Mississippi River at Iron Banks; the families arrived in Southwest Missouri on Dec 2, 1852, and settled in the section of Greene County which would later become Christian County)
