  There is an Elinor (Elenor) Sorrell on 19 Feb 1835 charged with a Bastard Child, Wake Co., NC . She named Anderson Chavis as the father. He did post Bond. Also, an Elenor Sorrell named in a divorce suit between Caroline Hill vs Henry Hill. About the time that "he deserted her and lived in a house with a certain lewd woman named Elenor Sorrell in open and notorious adultery." Six months previously he "entirely separated from your petitioner, and went in company with the above notorious strumpet to an adjoining state." Wake Co., NC in the spring court term 1843.
