I Robert Adams being of sound mind and capable of settleing my business, make my will as follows: I give to my daughters Adeline and Ann my dwelling house and all other out houses, and one hundred acres of land connected therewith for a home of my wife Nancy Adams her lifetime and then to be divided between them and their assigns forever.
I give to my daughter, Francis Sorrell, one third of the balance of my land, her lifetime and then to be divided equally between Addison Sorrell, Malissa King Dec’d children, and Elizabeth Pennington’s children.
I give my Son Aris Adams, One third of the balance of my land. I give my Grandson Robert Adams, One hundred Dollars to (be) paid out of the part of the other legatees. All my personal property, I leave to my wife her lifetime, and then to be sold and equally divided among my living children.
I make my Son Quincey, my Executor to my will, March 15th, 1879 Wake Co., NC

A paper writing supporting to be the last will and testament of Robert Adams deceased is exhibited before me the undersigned clerk superior court for Said County by O. H Page, on of the witnesses thereto, and the due execution thereof by the said Robert Adams by the Oath and Examination of O. H. Page one of the subscribing witnesses; who being duly sworn doth deposed and say, that he is a subscribing witness thereto, the paper writing now shown here, purporting to be the Last Will & Testament of Robert Adams, that the said Robert Adams, in the prescence of this deponent subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing which is now shown as aforesaid and which beards date of the 1th day March. And this deponent further saith that at the said time when the said testator, subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid and at the time of the deponents subscribing his name do an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Robert Adams was of sound mind and memory, of full age to Execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent.
And further this deponent sayeth not.
