Thomas Sorrell, son of John, deceased, late of Westmoreland, sold to Charles Bragg of Lunenburg Parish, Lunenburg Co., 128 acres of land devised to said Thomas by his uncle, Thomas Sorrell, Nov 5, 1750 (D. B. 11, p. 246, Westmoreland Co.)
There is a Thomas Sorrell in the Westmoreland Co., VA Deeds & Wills as an heir of John Sorrell
pp 105-107: This indenture made the 5 day of Nov 1750 between Thomas Sorrell House Carpenter, of Cople Parish in Co of Westmoreland, Son and heir of John Sorrell, late of the parish & count afsd., Planter, deced., of one part and Charles Bragg etc. sells 128 acres to Charles Bragg. Being part of 500 acres therof sold by Loyd to John Essex. 128 acres was given to Thomas, late of Parish of Cope, Gent., deced., and to his heirs from John Erwin. This Thomas also has a wife named Elizabeth who has a private examination to determine her willingness to sell this land. She relinquished her right to dower on the land.
He should not be confused with the Thomas Sorrell, who was a Mulatto, listed in the Virginia Marriages to 1800 Record Lucass, Elizabeth

There is a deed in Westmoreland Co., VA, Dec 24, 1772, from Thomas SORRELL and Martha his wife, of Westmoreland Co., conveying to John Turberville 186 acres (the family burying ground excepted) on the North side of Nominy Mill Pond and on the South side of John A. Washington's mill pond, adjoining land purchased by Mr. John Bushrod from John Sorrell, the said land was inherited by Thomas Sorrell (party to the deed) from his father, the said John Sorrell.
