  Monroe was tall, redheaded, and had a bushy mustache.His nickname was Mun. He was listed as a slabber in the cotton mill in the 1920 census but he had farmed the majority of his life. His son-in-law Thomas Fowler and his two children were listed as living with him in the 1920 census. This would have been after his daughter,Pruanna,died.
