  I am descended from Alexander Clark b. Nc died Abt 1847 in Chesterfield Co. SC m to Elinor (Probably Campbell). Some years ago I saw his parent listed as Daniel Clark s. of Gilbert and Anne Alexander. I have been inclined tobelieve this because His childrens names, Malcolm, Daniel, Gilbert, Archibald, Edward, Margaret, and Alexander are the same ones which show up repeatedly in the Jura Clarks.
