Herman Harold Sorrells, 81, of Chapel Hill, died Friday (Dec. 5, 2008) at Glen Oaks Convalescent Center. He was a native of Lincoln County, a retired electronics technician for Kincaid Service Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was the son of the late Hoyt and Annie Raby Sorrells. He is survived by a brother, Holman Sorrells of Unionville, and his caregiver, the Rev. Jim Sorrells of Chapel Hill. Funeral services were held Monday at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Sorrells officiating. Interment was in Willow Mount Cemetery. Hillcrest Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
