I have Bettie and Charles(Chas)(names on m cert) marriage certificate, they were married on the same day as Millard and Bobbie, 05 May 1905. Bobbie was married in Maury Co, and Chas and Bettie were married in Williamson Co. I found that odd. I wondered if they were related, but couldn't figure out why they were married in two different counties. Do you have any proof that Bobbie and Bettie are sisters.
Lizzie Clay Stockard married a James Willis Eddlemon (we have not been able to tie him to the other Eddlemons in the area, and just this week I found a m cert for Lizzie Stockard and Willis Edmonds, so why the name change?)on Dec 24 1911. They had six children: Mary Elizabeth, Eugene, Harold Sidney, JC, Paul and Nora Kate. I have more on this family if you need it, and I am in touch with two of the grandchildren. One of them is meeting me in Maury Co, in OCtober.
Joseph was also known as Bus, I never heard Buster, but my grandmother called him Uncle Bus. I have a lot of the vitFW more Stockard genealogy.ems als for the sons of Robt and alice Stockard, knew abt Aunt Bob, but couldn't find any proof that she existed until this past week. I also have a death cert for a young boy, who was the son of Mr and Mrs Robt Stockard of BEar Creek Pike, who passed around the turn of the century, his name was James, I believe. He is buried in the same cemetery with Robt Alice, their parents and grandparents. So I do believe he probably is the son of my Robt Stockard.
Back to that 1910 census, six out of nine children living. I know that Bobbie, Harris, Lizzie, Joseph and Sydney are living; if Bettie is their dau and the young James is their son, that would account for two of the deceased. I am still missing oneo of each. The church where the family is buried has never answered any of my requests for info. I would think that if there was another child that died during its youth it would be there, but the family is in unmarked graves. Robt and Alice were married 31 Dec 1885. The first birth that I have is Bobbie in 1889, Harris is the next in 1895, and Syd is the youngest in 1903; I bet there is a couple more btw 1886 and 1889, and 1890 and 1895.
