Mr. Billy Joe Redd, age 82, of Shelbyville, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at NHC Healthcare Oakwood in Lewisburg.
Funeral services Monday, June 13, 2011, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Burial in Willow Mount Cemetery.
He was born May 2, 1929, in Lincoln County to the late Garrett E. and Myrtice Cleek Redd.
He was retired from UniRoyal after 33 years of service and was employed with the Bedford County Board of Education for the last 28 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Skinner Redd, in 2003, a daughter, Linda Darlene Redd in 1958, and two sisters, Edith Parker and Glendon Foster.
He is survived by two sons, Donnie Redd and Richard T. Redd, and his wife Nellie, all of Shelbyville; a daughter, Janice Brown, of Shelbyville; a brother, John Redd, and his wife Audrey, of Lewisburg; a sister, Iris Bradford, of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren, William Robert Brown, Jr., Teresa Lynn Brown, Davey Redd, Sandra Redd, Joshua Redd, Tommy Garrett, and Felicia Garrett; three great grandchildren, Masin Brown, Aiden Brown, and Alexandria Brown.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
