  From Floyd H. Lawson, November 1998: Peter Jack Ingle was the 5th child born of Peter Ingle and Jane Odom. We have previously listed him as Peter Ingle, Jr. His g.g.grandson, Peter Jack Ingle, of Columbia, TN says that his name was definitely Peter Jack Ingle. Once when I was making a presentation on medical services in the Marion County area, an O'Mary man came up to the podium where I was standing and asked me if I was related to Peter Jack Ingle. I simply told him that I was related to all the the Ingle folk of Marion Co. Based upon those two sources, I have changed my records to show him as Peter Jack Ingle. (My bet is that his name was Peter Jackson Ingle.) When Hancock County was carved from Walker County in 1850, Peter Jack Ingle was appointed one of the first five Justices of the Peace. Hancock County's name was changed to Winston County in1858. Peter Jack Ingle moved from Winston Co, AL between 1853 and 1856, based upon the children's place of birth.
