It appears William Teague and his sons David, Joshua and Nathaniel were in Anderson County, Tennessee in 1805. They all appeared there on the early Tennessee tax list. A Nimrod Teague was also on the same list.
KNOX COUNTY, KENTUCKY TAX ROLL
Knox County, Kentucky was formed from Lincoln County, Kentucky in 1799. Only white men 21 years of age or older could pay a poll tax and be included on the tax roll.
It appears the families of William Teague and his son-in-law, Jacob Siler made the journey from North Carolina to Kentucky at about the same time. They settled in that part of Knox that later became part of Whitley when it was formed in 1820.

During the 1830 Census, William and his wife were living in Whitley County, Kentucky where they were farming. The family consisted on 1 male age 70 thru 79 and 1 female age 70 thru 79 (1751 – 1760). Listted next to William were his sons, Moses and Joshua. Also on the same page was Jacob Sowders (Siler) and Daniel Sowders (Siler).

William Abel Teague died in October 1835 in Whitley County, Kentucky. His will was dated 6 Oct 1835 and the inventory of his property was conducted on 15 Oct 1835.
In the name of God, Amen:
I William Teague of the State of Kentucky, Whitley County, being in poor of body but of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and Testament dated 6th, June 1835.
First I will and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth all my land where I now live during her natural life. And after her death to be sold and the receipts to be equally divided between Rachel Siler and Moses Teague my son and daughter.
Second I give unto my wife Elizabeth Teague two of my horses and two cows and my stock of hogs and sheep during her life. And after her death sold and equally divided between my two children above, named. Rachel and Moses. Also my household furniture and farming tools.
I appoint Daniel Faulkner and William Siler my true and trusted friends as administrators to my estate, to do all according to law. To this my will and Testament made in the presence of the undersigned this date above written.

On October 15, 1835 (after William's death) a true and just inventory of William Teague's estate was made. His personal property was valued at $164.21, and his furniture was valued at $375.00.
