The last will & testament of Rachael McEntire was proved by Jeremiah Garner. James Collins administrator ...who entered into bond in the sum of 150 pounds with John C. Boys, Jeremiah Garner, and Abram Collins (rogue). May 18, 1821 #96 - This indenture made January 31, 1821 Rachel Beason alias McTier of the county of Rutherford and state of North Carolina on the one part and James Collins of the same of the other part witnesseth that the said Rachel Beason alias McTier for the sum of $200 paid by James Collins the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and also the great love and affection that she the said Rachel Beason alias McTier hath and beareth her grandson James Collins and for the better support and maintenance hath given granted and bargained …parcel of land on the waters of Rackcoon Run alias James Creek and First Broad River and bounded as follows.. formerly Andrew Parkins now Abram Martin’s Corner…Joseph Bradley Corner…Containing 200 acres tract originally granted William Sims then to William McIntire February 20,

In the name of god Amen. I Rachel McIntire of the county of Rutherford and state of NC being sick and weak of body, yet of perfect sound mind and memory thanks be to god do this day make my last will and testament in manner and form following. Viz, First I give and bequeath to my four daughters Rebecca McIntire, Elizabeth Crain, Lydia Hopewell and Peggy Bailey my bed and furniture and all my wearing clothes, to be divided equally between four if they can agree, if not sell them and divide the money - and all the balance of the household furniture and cattle and all and everything also belonging to me on the premises where I now live. I do will and bequeath unto my grandson James Collins to be his own right and property free and clear form the claim or claims of any person or persons whatever.I do hereby make this my last will and testament .
1823 was apparently the same year that Rachel died.
