I do not know much about Thomas Jefferson's family. I have not found his parents to be 100% sure of the lineage. I know his wife was Lousia Hilburn. Thomas was in the Civil War. He was injured badly. I was told he would go off for months at a time and then come back home. He died of dropsy. My grandfather William Jefferson Sorrells was a farmer. He could make musical instruments and play them. Think they call it pickin and a grinnin today. (Peggy Long-Peggylong01@aol.com-2005)
Based on the common name of James Dennis SORRELLS in both lines, I think that this relationship is very likely. (Sherry S. Finchum)
