Notes |
- I had the opportunity to meet two Sorrels cousins this last week. Their grandmother was my grandmother's sister. It was very exciting to share notes and pictures.
I had an old family picture, dated, I would say from the clothing and hair styles to about 1930s. The one cousin sat down and wrote all the names of the people in the picture. I only knew the same of 3 of the group of about 50 people. She had the same picture.
We remarked how weird a feeling to be with strangers that knew so much about our mutual family, and to comprehend that we were in fact blood-kin, even though we had never known of each other's existence until a few months ago.
What a rush!
