C. Bruce Whitaker submitted a family history to a published volume, "Old Buncombe County Heritage", on the family of Michael Ingle, who was born in PA 1785, living in east Buncombe County on his arrival and then moving to northwest Buncombe County two years before his death in 1840. He had five children - a daughter who never married, a daughter who died at 10, a son John F., another son Alfred H. with no further info, and a son Albert A. who married Jane Hayes. The third
child and first son John F., born 20 March 1821 died 9 March 1907, married Fannie Miller and had 11 children, and apparently lived his entire life in Buncombe.
As a matter of fact, I do. They were Mary "Polly" Elizabeth Ingle, Alfred Henderson Ingle, Albert Anderson Ingle (who married Jane A. Hayes), and my greatgreatgreatgrandfather John F.(or H.,his mother's Will shows H. but his tombstone says F.) who married Fannie A. Miller. Let me know if this is any help.
