- Does anyone have any info. pertaining to Phillip? Phillip and his wife Rebecca were living in Buncombe Co., NC by 1820. Where they lived later became Madison Co. In 1850 my gg grandfather Joseph Harrison was living with them. Because of the large age difference I believe Joseph Harrison to be their grandson. I haven't been able to find Joseph Harrison's siblings or parents, nor have I been able to locate Phillip's children. Joseph Harrison and Priscilla were married in 1853 not 1865.
I don't have a lot of information earlier than Joseph Harrison Ingle. Phillip was the son of Michael and Barbara Ingle. They lived in Lincoln Co.,NC. Michael died in 1807.
Phillip was in Buncombe Co., NC by 1820 and appears in the census through 1850. In the 1860 he is enumerated in Madison Co., In the 1850 & 1860 census Joseph Harrison (my gg grandfather)is living in the household. Since there is a 50+ year age difference in Joseph and the heads of the hosehold, I believe them to be his grand parents.
Joseph Harrison was in the 64th NC Infantry, Co. A. He either died in service or shortly after the war because there are no further records of him. Abt. 1865 Joseph married Priscilla and they had five children; Rebecca R., Martha Jane, James, Andrew Franklin (my great grandfather), & Liza A.
Andrew Franklin Ingle married Hannah Safronia Wilson. There son Jesse Harrison Ingle was my grandfather.
