That he is a brother of Leonadas Morgan who shortly before cease of the war took the place of applicant Finchum. He wanted to go and was too young. Finchum's wife is my sister. W. Owens, N.P. On his pension application, he lists that he was born in Cocke Co., TN about 1841. He owns 135 acres in Jefferson County. Trustee states that John Finchum is assessed with 138 acres in District 5.
