Gemima Browning was first married to James Smith who according to Flo
Williamson died of Cholera. Gemima is show with her small daughter,
Mary, living with William Browning and family in Robertson TN in 1850.
According to the Ozark County Marriage book Mary Ann Smith married
Thomas Blair on 30 Aug 1859.They had the following children:
John b 19 Feb 1864 d 30 Jan 1954. He married Rebecca White.-----
"Fate" Lafayette Allen-----Jim who died at the age of 13 or 14 after
being thrown from a horse.-------Frances who married Henry
Taylor.--------------Mary "Molly" Gemima b 15 Sep 1869 d 21 Feb

Gemima Browning James was the daughter of William Browning and Mildred
Ellender Yancey. Her sister, Ellender Browning, married Hugh Smith.
Hugh Smith was the son of Alexander Smith and Francis Moss.
He was the brother of Burrell Smith who married Phebe James. Phebe was
the sister to Thomas Harless James. Thomas H was married first to
Martha Jane Smith who was the daughter of Hugh Smith and Ellender
Browning. Gemima's brother Joseph William Browning married a daughter
of John W James and Byrah Skidmore. John W James was the half brother
to Thomas Harless James' father, Joseph James. Mary Jane Browning,
daughter of Mackey and granddaughter of William, married John B James.
John B was the son of John W James and Byrah Skidmore.
