“Thomas Whitaker, orphan aged 17, in June 1729 petitioned the Court that he had left his step-mother and wanted to live with his uncle, Thomas Mitchell.”

After Catherine’s death, Mark Whitaker married Elizabeth Empson on 2-13-1717.
On 10-6-1729, Elizabeth Empson Whitaker married Francis Taylor in Baltimore County.
Thomas Mitchell, brother to Robert Mitchell who married Ann Teague, sister to Catherine.
Record in St. George’s Parish, Maryland 6-1733
“Francis Taylor is indicted for Mark Whitaker’s orphans.”
At this time it is not known why Francis Taylor, husband to the stepmother of Catherine’s children, had anything to do with them in 1733.
