In Cecil County, Abraham was an Indian trader.
Abraham owned 648 acres on Abbots Creek in North Carolina. He witnessed several court documents. He was the overseer of the road from John Hite’s to Swearingen’s Ferry prior to his brother, Edward, being the overseer.

On 2-4-1778, Abraham was appointed overseer of roads in Rowan County, North Carolina. He served on jury duty in 1758, 1786, and 1787. On 4-22-1762, Abraham was involved in a lawsuit—Abraham Teague vs Thomas Metcalf—1 day judgment.
On 8-16-1768, Abraham was one of the signers of a grievance to Governor Tyrone about cattle passing through their settlement.
Abraham was a Regulator.
Abraham died intestate and his land passed to his son John. John bought an additional 300 acres, then sold off all but 224 acres, preferring to make his living in business. He and his son, William, ran wagon trains to Capt Fear, North Carolina and into Virginia and South Carolina buying and selling all kinds of commodities.
