Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Vaughn was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Bruce Sorrells and the late Nancy Jane Brown Sorrells, a housewife and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband: Willie C. Vaughn; 2 step-sons: Charles Edward Vaughn & Junior Vaughn; 2 grandchildren: Helen Faye Vaughn & Betty Vaughn. Survivors include 2 daughters: Billie Rutledge Johnston & Peggy Highfill Stewart both of Huntsville, AL; son: Bobby Vaughn of Fayetteville, TN; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.
