  Supposed to be the father of Sarah Ingle's children. He cannot be located (same as Sarah Ingle) in the 1870 Sevier Co., TN Census! I wonder if he was killed in the Civil War? I have seen dates as: b 30 Sep 1843 Sevier Co., TN or I have seen Dickson Co., TN d 30 Mar 1910 Sevier Co., TN. (But these are actually his brother, Joseph Calloway's, dates!) Someone in this family (very likely a man child of Edmond Hodges) was the father of Sarah INGLE's 2nd and 3rd child. I have an several autosomal match to descendants of the line down from Sarah Pearson! HODGE/S is the actual surname for John Ingle's biological father. His mother retained the name of Ingle as it is believed that she never was married to Mr. HODGES. The family notes indicate that a HODGE/HODGES was the father of Sarah's children. A relationship to the HODGES has been confirmed (Jan 2006) through DNA research. Sarah's son John INGLE and his male descendants match with the Family Tree DNA HODGES project. The Hodge family had a ferry and sand operation on the French Broad River near Boyd's Creek years ago. This is my line of HODGES connections based on Autosomal DNA and-perhaps the connection is through the Pearson line!
