He met and married a Cherokee woman who worked for the Vanderbilts. Nahanna Manassa Cuthbertson. I have a picture of them taken on there 60th wedding anniversary. He retired from Southern Railroad and they are buried in Lenoir City. They had 5 sons & a daughter. I'm named after one of the sons, my dads father. He was an alcoholic but managed to raise 3 daughters & a son. He worked various jobs. He was injured rescuing some guys at the Fraterville Mining Disaster, slate fell on him. He was a circulation manager for the News Sentinel , he work in a CCC camp in Maryville when they were doing work after the Great Smoky National Park was established.
