This family is in Mississippi Twp, Sebastion Co, Ark in 1870--name is misspelled Louis instead of Lewis. This may be the same Lewis Sorrels who is found in Taney County Missouri in 1840. The Joseph Sorrels found in Crawford County in 1850 and in Sebastion County in 1860, 1880 may be a brother; the William Sorrels in Crawford County in 1850 may also be a brother. Patience in found in 1900, age 76, living with a daughter Township 8, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. The Sarah Sorrels, age 24, living with Lewis's family in 1850 may be the widow of yet another brother, Alexander. Lewis is buried in the Brooken Cemetery in Haskell County, OK--was originally buried in the Knowles Cemetery, but was moved due to the construction of Lake Eufala.
