Grace Estella Denton
Grace Denton, age 89, died September 15, 1979. She was born January 1, 1890 in Gibson Co., TN to Dallas and Annie Petty Wagster. She married Alvin P. Denton of Dearborn, TN on March 3, 1906. They moved to Chaffee in 1921.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.
She is survived by a son Howard C. Denton, daughters; Mrs. Louise Corgiat, Mrs. Neisha Humphreys, Mrs. Margaret Gallagher, Mrs. Charlotte Kimes, Mrs. Shirley Bode, Mrs. Peggy Biler Jr., and Mrs. Donna Biler, a sister Mrs. Madge Noterass. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Frances Virginia who died in infancy and Addie Christine Gateley who died April 22, 1979.

Text: "Mrs. Grace Denton: Chaffee Mrs. Grace E. Denton of Chaffee died Saturday morning at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where she had resided since September 1972. She was 89 years old. She was born Jan 1. 1890 in Gipson County. Tennessee. She Alvin P Denton March 3. 1906 He preceded her m death March 2. 1971. She was a charter member ol the Assembly of God Church in Chaffee. Survivores include a son, Howard Clyde Denton Chaffee; daughter, Mrs. Louise Corgrat and Mrs. Neisha Humphreys, both of Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Margaret Gallagher, Binghampton, NY Mrs. Charlotte Kimes, Princeton, Mrs. Shirley Bode, Oglesby, IL Mrs. Peggy Biler and Mrs. Donna Biler, both of Chaffee, sister. Mrs. Claude Notgrass, Rollen, TN, 20 grandchildren. 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchildren ..."
