Text: "Mrs. Claire Sorrell Cates King, 85, of 317 Herring St, Mount Airy, formerly of 1007 Hale Street died Thursday morning in Northern Hopsital of Surry County following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Durham for most of her life and was a member of Grey Stone Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Greene of Mount Airy; one son, Dalton Reed Cates of Croning, NY; two sister, Mrs. Nellie Saunders of Carpenter and Inez King of Durham; one brother, Harold Sorrell of Durham; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren..."
