  My Grandmother, Ruth Beall Carlisle Mitchell, was Ruth Sorrell Beall's daughter. Ruth (my great grandmother) died a few years after my grandmother was born and left her and the other children orphans. Which means my grandmother didn't have much information she could share before she passed away 3 years ago. She was one of the two children that actually went to live in an orphanage in DC.
