This day came Henry London, Aaron McEntire, & Elender McEntire & made oath on the 23 instant they heard Samuel Poston, deceased say that he wanted a small part of his last will, that is to say, that bears date 9 Sept. 1816 altered in words that will not authorize no body to turn his daughters off the plantation where he now lives, while they live single, they also say they think he was in his right mind when they heard him say the words above written.

In the name of God Amen, I Aaron McEntire of the County of Rutherford and State of North Carolina being of advanced age but sound mind and perfect memory do ordain and appoint this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
Viz. That all my just debts and demands be paid off and satisfied out of my personal estate and as _____ the remainder of my estate. I give and bequeath in manner and form following:
Item I lend to my wife Ellender ___ole of my estate during her life or widowhood and at her death or marriage for my estate to be so divided as to make all their portions equal
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susannah McKenney two hundred dollars worth of property which James McKinney and Susannah has already received from me and must be put in as part of their part of portion of my estate at the division which I do give to them and their heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath unto my son William McEntire one hundred and ten dollars worth of property which eh has all ready received from me and must be deducted from his portion of my estate at the division of my estate the part that is coming to him I give to him and his heir forever
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas McEntire one hundred and eighty four dollars worth of property which he has all ready received of me and must be deducted from his portion at the division of my estate the part that will come to him I give to him and his heir forever
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Josiah McEntire two hundred dollars worth of property which he has all ready received of me and must be deducted from his part of my estate at the division
Item I give and bequeath to Jacob Wolf two hundred dollars worth of property in consequence of his inter marriage with my daughter Nancy McEntire which two hundred dollars shall be considered that much of his portion that is coming from my estate.
Item if any thing is coming to my daughter Nancy Wolf at the division of my estate I lend the same to the said Nancy Wolf during her life and at her death I give the same to her being that is of her body to have and to hold for ever
Item my will and desire is that children that now live with me as soon as they come of age or marry shall have two hundred dollars worth of property as those have that has left me and upon the same conditions that they shall account for the same and be considered as part of their proportion of my estate in like manner as those that have left me.
Item I will and allow and devise that no part of parts of this my last will and testament be altered
Item and lastly I ordain and allow and appoint William Covinton and Bird McEntire Executors of this my last will and testament revoking all others will gifts legacies or bequeaths by me and this only to be my last will and testament in testimony where off I have here unto set my hand affix my seal this twenty seventh day of June in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.

The written writing was presented in open court as the last will and testament of Aaron McEntire dec for probate. Lewis Camp one of the subscribing witnesses then to proved the same in the usual form and it was ordered to be recorded at full length.
