Audrey P. Snedegar, 82, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 29, 1927 in Nitro, West Virginia to the late Wilbur Moses and Nora Florence (Switzer) Beasley.
Audrey was a member of Center Christian Church near Mays for many years. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed reading and working jigsaw puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Alan (wife, Beth) Snedegar of Vermontville, MI, Eileen (husband, Andy) Armstrong of Rushville, Jeff (wife, Becky) Snedegar of Bloomington, Lonnie (husband, Doug) May of New Castle and Brenda (husband, Brian) De Bruhl of Shirley; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte (husband, Charles) Whaley of Leesburg, FL, and Ruby (husband, Butch) Cassidy of Salt Lick, KY; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lacy Snedegar in 1997; a daughter, Karen Sparks; two brothers, Wilbur and Henry Beasley; two sisters, Juanita Williams and Judy McKenzie; and a granddaughter, Angela May.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend Marion Hickman officiating.
Burial will follow in Center Cemetery near Mays.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
