Her tombstone says "Katie Covington." (My great-grandmother actually took me there.) I had William as dead by 1892, but your evidence shows he may have been dead even earlier. I can't find a death record for him. Current theory states he may be the son of Martin Justus and one of his (many) wives. William and Kate's son, Ruben, did die in the Flu Epidemic (March 16, 1920). [I have a grand picture ofhim that was taken when he was a young man. ] However, his tombstone reads his birthdate as January 31, 1883. He married Matilda Jane KNIGHT.
