  Listed as a farmer on the 1850 Census, Bedford Co., TN The family history states that he had a disagreement with his father, and migrated first to Benton Co., AR, where he encountered the WILLIAMS family, and then after the Civil War, he went to Dade Co., MO. Per family history, he had a disagreement with his father and moved to Benton, County, Arkansas. He met Permelia Williams there and they married on 4-8-1858. After the Civil War, they moved to Dade County, Missouri. My father told me that Benjamin was a stage coach driver in Missouri and drove a stagecoach between Springfield and Rolla, Missouri.
