Franklin, NC - Della Ann Holland Sorrells, age 64, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Highpoint, NC. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Carl and Juanita Buckner Holland. She was married 41 years to Randall Sorrells who passed away June 5, 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of Mashburn Branch Baptist Church. Della was a store manager for the Twins’ Shop where she ran the Gift Gallery for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Sorrells Whitley of Saint Pauls, NC and her son, Randy Sorrells of Kernersville, NC; one granddaughter, Holland Whitley of Saint Pauls, NC; two sisters, Carlene Wright of Thomasville, NC and Carolyn Herrington of Asheville, NC; one brother, Jackie Holland of Hickory, NC.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 27 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be held at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Mark Whitley, Joe Brogden, Rick Brogden, Alan Ashe, Sam Wright and Fred Sorrells will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00PM, one hour prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
