Mrs. Gladys Sorrell Passes
Mrs. Gladys Sorrell, age 53, of White Plains community, passed away Sunday, January 19 at 12:30 a.m. at Chambers County Hospital.
Mrs. Sorrell was born in Chambers County September 10, 1921.
Funeral services were held at Penton Church of God, where she was a member, on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Petty officiating.
Interment was in the Penton cemetery, Johnson & Sanders in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Engman Sorrell, White Plains; two daughters, Mrs. Ted Talley of Huguley; Mrs. Gene Taylor, Route 2, LaFayette; two grandchildren; mother, Mrs. J. W. Sharpe, Sr.; a sister, Mrs. Juanita Perryman, Shawmut; four brothers, Jasper and Tommy Sharpe, Shawmut; Phillip Sharpe, Boulder City, Nev.; Bob Sharpe, Enterprise.
Pallbearers were Clarence Newman, Chris Potts, Bill Barber, Wayne Stephens, Alva Webb, Joe Davis.
