  Louisa Jane Leftwich Prosser Birth 26 Nov 1840 Death 28 Jun 1920 (aged 79) Burial Stone Cemetery Belleville, Lincoln County, Tennessee, USA Memorial ID 106132481 The "Gate of Heaven" grave marker for Mark and Louisa Jane Leftwich Prosser was unearthed in 2010 by Rick Yell and Wayne Owens. The stone, inscribed with both Mark's and Jane's names, had been set in the iron-fenced Prosser family plot after Mark's death in 1907. At some time, it was knocked off its pedestal and buried three feet beneath the surface—long enough ago that three-inch-thick apple-tree roots had grown across the stone. Once lifted to view, the marker was cleaned, inscribed with the date of Jane's death in 1920, and reset on its base, close to the grave of the Prossers' son Luther, who died in 1895.
